'Creating magical moments for all'

Hi, I'm Jess - an award winning magician from Wiltshire, specialising in close up and stage performances that are designed to leave a lasting impression on audiences of all ages.

Whether it be in an intimate close up setting, designed to give guests a one on one magical experience, or a large stage show, showcasing visual storytelling and sleight of hand, I guarantee to leave you with an experience to remember.

My Story

I've always loved the feeling of wonder, those moments that make you feel like anything is possible. Maybe that's why I found myself drawn to magic – wanting to share that feeling that inspires me, and create moments that leave you feeling like nothing has before.

I began magic around the age of 10, I got my first magic set as a Christmas present, and I loved it! Unlike many kids who may have thrown it aside, never to be used again, I had begged my parents to get me this set all year, after seeing Izzy Simpson perform on BGT, so I was not going to let all that hard work and persuasion go to waste! That's the thing with magic... we need the younger magicians coming through, to inspire the next generation to keep the art alive. As a 17 year old female magician, I am determined to make a difference in this, inspiring all kids, but especially the young girls (more on this later). Magic is still a very male dominated industry. By the end of my career I hope to see this change - and I aim to help this happen in every way I can.

At the age of 13 I joined the Magic Circle's Young Magicians Club (YMC). This was the best decision I have ever made. Never have I felt so inspired, being around not only those people who have made it in the industry but also those like me, who have such love and passion for the art. Any parents of young magicians reading this... sign them up now! Trust me. Although my time with YMC is almost over, it has made me the person who I am today - the friends, the opportunities, the pure love of magic - these are all things I doubt I would have ever found anywhere else. Now, I even mentor younger members of the club, giving me the chance to inspire them, just as I was inspired back when I was their age.

The opportunities: back in 2022, when I was 14 I had the opportunity to be a part of Ryland Petty's BGT act with the YMC - something I had dreamed of ever since I started magic. This was one of those moments. Being up on that stage made me feel like anything was possible. It just goes to show, I may have simply been shuffling a Rubix cube, just a prop in someone else's act, but I felt like a part of the magic; I felt inspired. This moment lit a new spark in me I didn't know I had. If my magic can make someone feel even the slightest bit that I felt that day, I will feel fulfilled.

This year (2025) I went to my first magic convention, the biggest one in the world (Blackpool of all places!). I thought YMC was the pinnacle of inspiration, but oh was I wrong... this was on another level. The Winter Gardens filled with thousands of seemingly ordinary people - each one with a passion for magic. I'll let you imagine how that felt.  I've talked a lot about inspiration; that's because it's a huge part of magic for me. I look for it everywhere I go, whether that be in places directly related to magic - like the YMC, conventions or magic shops - but even more so in everyday life. There's nothing more satisfying than finding the magic in everyday life. Look around, try it out and you'll see what I mean. â€‹

That's my story - well parts of it. I realised, as I was writing this, that I have had a lot of great (and some not so great) moments in magic, and it would be impossible to include them all, so I decided to make this more of a highlights page. It's both strange and exciting to think of what the future holds for me and my magic, especially in such an old, male dominated industry, but I can't wait to embrace it and hopefully help many others find their passion for magic as well. â€‹

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. I hope you enjoyed it, and that it has left you with a few things to consider. Any questions please feel free to contact me.
